ABOUT THE MOVIE
Werner Place is a passion project born of neighborly fun and friendship.
We started Werner Place as a conversation between friends on a late pandemic afternoon, on a driveway, and conversation over a few drinks. My neighbors (the cast) all have prior acting experience, some more than others, had asked Holly and I, who've been making previous short movies for our Oscar parties to make a movie. So, we all came together to start a neighborhood project.

We discussed a strategy for finding an idea that would work. We decided to come back later and pitch a few ideas, but when that didn't happen I took the bull by the horns and wrote a treatment, and then, very quickly a script (I'm impatient), and Werner Place was born.
​
This first project with my three amigos and their families, a sci-fi, comedy, mystery, and action-thriller, is a love letter to our friendship, and love for movies. It was an opportunity to take time out of our busy schedules to hang out and create something thrilling and fun.
